Hi there 👋️. I am an interaction designer and HCI researcher currently based in Pittsburgh, United States. I am passionate about exploring how human activities can be enhanced through intelligent digital tools and services, with a particular interest in the user experience design of AI-driven applications to support collaboration, creativity, and learning. In my process, I approach complex questions using various human-centered design methods and strategies to understand how people interact with technology and how we can create products and services that truly benefit them.
These days, I primarily focus on research as part of my PhD in Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University — where I am fortunate to be advised by Dr. Nikolas Martelaro and Dr. Ken Holstein. Currently, I am in my fourth year.
Before joining CMU, I worked as an interaction designer and software developer. I also founded a design company, FELD, where I directed and worked on projects for and with partners from industry, research, and culture for several years. Some of my work has been exhibited at venues such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Modern Art Helsinki, and Gallery Le Deco Tokyo.
In parallel to research and practice, I truly enjoy teaching. Between 2017–2021 I worked as an assistant professor teaching design, media, and technology-related courses. In addition, I have frequently been organizing workshops and courses at various institutions, including Tongji University Shanghai, NYU Abu Dhabi, Bauhaus University Weimar, and University of the Arts Berlin.
Besides work, I am a father of two wonderful children, and I enjoy spending time with my family, making music, and creating visual stuff. If you’d like to know more about my work, are interested in collaborating, or simply want to say hello, please write me. I’d love to hear from you!
